Why I’m a MAT Specialist

In 2002 I began my career as a Fitness Professional as a Personal Trainer at a Chiropractic Clinic helping people with exercise programs that would help their recovery by addressing the muscular weaknesses that we’re associated with their back, neck, or shoulder pain.

But there was a problem. You can’t see muscular weakness on an x-ray. I was frustrated that I didn’t have a process for evaluating the whole body to figure out where the weakness was for each individual patient so I could know which exercises would be the best. I also, began to wonder if exercise was indeed the strengthen their muscles the way they needed, maybe they were compensating when they did their exercises because their weaknesses were so dramatic?
